Over the past few days I went through the process of starting to create and design my product in Adobe Illustrator. This has involved multiple versions and editing the sizing and layout constantly, the wireframes previously made helped me to refocus on the best layout for my product. I have so far created a “Demo Session” so that this could be used on my website so that customers know what they are buying before they purchase.
While creating my product I produced my website using Landen, this tool is very easy to quickly design a website that includes all the necessary elements for my product such as landing page, trusted companies, testimonials, email signup and links to Gumroad where I will be selling it.
I compared using webflow and landen but decided due to the complexity of my project, Landen would offer me the tools to create a well developed website with the elements it provides. Along with this, from my research into other Landen websites - I realised I could create a website that would fit into my brand very well without having to use Webflow and the complex tools it uses. I also set up Mailchip as a way to distribute emails to people who are interested and sell my product.
To start with while developing my website I established what Items I needed to include on my website. To do this I used a mind map to explore what options I wanted.
Before starting to use landen I created some wireframes for what I wanted my website to look like, I did this from researching into what landen offered as features and debated on how I would lay out the features I decided should be in my website.
After establishing the layout and being happy with it I made the website using landen.
I tested my product out at a recent hockey session with one of the coaches there, I offered her the plan in digital and printed form and she understood both easily and quickly.
I will continue to develop both guide plans over the next couple of weeks in regard to design and content, including creating the technique guide and the remainder of the drills.
