In week 2, we completed a series of research into various areas we could create a healthcare product in. From this our group came to the conclusion that there was a lack of products in the healthcare sector to make staff's jobs easier and more efficient. We understand that we need to create an app that will connect staff and allow easy communication, as well as allowing alerts or access to patient information from a device whether that be from a wearable device such as watch or hand held device such as a tablet.
There are many issues that come with storing patient details on devices such as patient privacy and whether these details will be able to be accessed outside of the hospital, also the addition of requiring devices for staff may inflict cost onto the hospital so is there a possibility of using devices already owned by doctors? All of these issues, and more, need considered and reasonable solutions found when moving forward with this product.
