To get a better understanding moving from paper wireframes and style tiles, I developed a few screens using two different colour schemes alongside illustrations. This was a very helpful process, as sometimes it is hard to get a visual understanding of how components will look in the final version - these low fidelity versions give a better idea before moving into the full prototype. I also looked at menu format to understand how this may look in the prototype. These basic mockups will go through a series of refinements when in the final design stage.

This process allowed me to gain an understanding that the all blue/green tone colour scheme with the contrasting bold blue is the best for my theme and fits with the visual idea and brand that I have. I am glad I went through this process as it reassured me that my theme and content will fit together.
